Weekend Haul

So over the weekend I went shopping at several different places. I got more things than usual, so I thought, this is a great opportunity to do my first haul!

On Friday I went to see a movie at the mall. After that I went shopping . I first went to Tilly's and bought a gorgeous shirt. You know I love anything to do with roses! This shirt can be worn with jeans, shorts, or capris. It was $17.99. I got a girls size large.

Next, I went to Forever 21. I bought three necklaces and a pair of sunglasses. The necklaces were $1.50 each and the sunglasses were $5.80. I couldn't believe how inexpensive the necklaces were so I bought two kokeshi doll necklaces, one was on a silver chain and one was on a pink, and a silver bird. One side has rhinestones and the other had just the design etched on it. I think I prefer the plain side because the it is more simply beautiful. Another thing I bought was the sunglasses. Now, I've wanted aviators for a while now, so I was really excited to find them for less than six dollars. There was also a black pair for $3, but I thought they were too dark so I went with the purple pair. These sunglasses actually work; they have 100% UV protection.

The next day I went back to the mall, but just to Macy's. At the Clinique counter I got the chubby stick in Super Strawberry. Now, I don't know if you've heard about chubby sticks, but they were featured in at least five different magazines a month or two ago. They're lip crayons that twist up like chapsticks instead of sharpening. They're super moisturizing and have a really pretty shine. Super Strawberry was the brightest color I found, the other two were a bit more neutral. But they are really convenient and I've wanted one for a long time so I'm so glad I got one.

Next, we headed on over to the Nordstrom Rack. This is a great place to get shoes, clothes, and accessories. I got an adorable pair of shoes from Report. They were originally $74.95, reduced to $39.95. I also bought a half-sleeve cropped coral cardigan. The back is all lace, which is soo cool. It was originally $25, reduced to $15.97, then 50% off. I got a pair of white skinny jeans from Jolt, originally $36, reduced to $19.97. The last thing I bought was a simple pink cami from Ivy & Moon, $2.97 from $14. It was so cheap that I didn't even bother to try it on. I mean, it was $3! I love stores like these!

The last place I went to was TJ Maxx. I just got two tins of hard candy, Lemon and Kiwi & Mango, for AIMS testing this week. This has been a really fun post and I think I'll do them more often.

March Favorites

So, for my first official post I'm going to do a March Favorites. I know technically March isn't over yet, but I can't remember what my favorites were for February, so here it goes.
1. Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Peach Satin. I layer it on over my Bare Escentuals blush (which is in Golden Gate) and I have pink cheeks that last all day. But it is very sparkly, so it's not for the shimmer-phobic. It is very inexpensive and easy to apply.
2. The Body Shop Concealer. I have it in 01, the lightest shade. It covers everything and blends in well. The only problem I have with it is that I can't find a pencil sharpener big enough to sharpen it. But it lasts a long time and is only $11.
3. The Stila Pon Pon Gerebera eyeshadow trio. There's a dark brown, a medium pink, and a light pink. The colors are absolutely beautiful and I think they would go with any eye color. The brown is for your lid, the medium pink for your crease, and the light pink is supposed to be a liner, but I use it as a highlight. It's hard to say, but the result is fantastic.
4. Desperate Housewives. I started watching the first season on Netflix on my Wii a couple months ago and now I'm on the seventh. This show is so good, it reminds me of Pretty Little Liars. Every season there's a new mystery, but there is a good amount of humor and day-to-day struggles of the women on Wisteria Lane.
5. The song 'Stereo Love' by Edward Maya. I'd heard it on the radio a lot, but i never knew what it was. Look it up, I think you'll be surprised about what it's like. Bonus: The artist has an awesome name.
I think those are all my favorites for this month. I look forward to posting more and more often.

Welcome Back

Hi! I can't believe it's been a year since I've posted. A lot has changed. First, I'm going to be 13 on June 5th! I'm so excited. Second, I moved to Arizona. It's been almost a year, but my skin and hair are still getting used to the dry air. I'm in seventh grade now and I wear more makeup, but I still write on my basic principles: there is a lot more girls can do to look good than just makeup. I go to a uniform school now, so you can expect so posts on how to make a uniform look good, but also some normal outfit of the day posts. I can't wait to get back into blogging regularly again.

April Favorites

Sorry they're a bit late, but i've been busy working on my new project: dog breeding. I have a tiny little male poodle mix that I think is so cute and I love puppies so I decided to breed him. Don't worry, I've been researching this for years and consider myself quite the expert. :) To learn more about this go to myhammys.blogspot.com (I also had a litter of eleven hamsters). This is my first favorites post so it will include everything I like, not just the ones I discovered this month.

The first one is Teavana's Green Tea Mints. http://bit.ly/c1ZOPq These taste sooooo good, not bitter like real green tea but kind of sweet and organic. It also really freshens your breath. They were having a sale at my store and the mints were $1.89 each because they didn't know whether they would be re-stocked or not. Fortunately they have them again. Unfortunately the prices are back to $3.65. But if you want to buy them online they're on sale right now.

The second one is Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer. http://bit.ly/MLt9j I really love this company because they have cute packaging, good smells, and are organic. This lip gloss has that cooling mint and is VERY sparkly so its definitely not for you if you don't like glitter. I got it in Champagne, which looks like a light pink but is really just glitter. I also tried it out on my eyelids today and it looked and felt good, not too sparkly or sticky. But it did also have the same cool effect on my eyes which, which felt kind of interesting. I love this because it is just easy and quick to use.

The third one is Clinique's Blushwear Cream Stick. http://bit.ly/6YprAy I have it in Glow Blush. My mom got it as a sample and gave it to me, so I have a mini version, but it still has lasted a really long time. I used as an eyeshadow until I looked at the bottom and realized it was a blush. The color is looks kind of orange-ish, but goes on kind of pink and sparkly. I only use this April to September.
Because it's so...glowy!

The fourth one is the Aveda Caribbean Therapy Body Cream. http://bit.ly/9Y3ShL I got this as a free sample (I know, another one) from an email that I signed up to get as part of the mailing list. It smells SOO good and is cute to carry around.

The last one is bit.ly Just look that up on the address bar and you'll come to a site where you can enter a link and it will automatically make it shorter. See above.
Well that's it for now. See ya
